Can I use my day cream at night?

There’s really nothing wrong with using your day cream at night as long as it doesn’t have a sun protection factor (SPF), because then your skin has to deal with elements it doesn’t need at night.

Is a good anti wrinkle cream always expensive?

Unfortunately, pioneering scientific research costs a lot of money. It’s only normal that this is reflected by the price of cosmetics. This doesn’t mean however that you have to cough up a fortune for a good ant wrinkle cream. Decent drugstore and supermarket creams can be found for less than 20 dollars.

How long will creams keep?

Creams that last no longer than 30 months must have a use-by date. If they last longer than 30 months, the package should have a period-after-opening symbol. This symbol depicts a cosmetics pot and has a number for the months the product can be used after opening.

Does a peeling hurt my sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin produces dead skin cells too, so it will certainly benefit from a peeling. There are special peeling products with ultra fine scrubbing particles or salycic acid that are made specifically for sensitive skin.

Do I need to rinse after applying cleansing milk?

No, to remove excess cleansing milk it suffices to pat dry with a tissue. Nevertheless, rinsing with water or tonic can bring some extra refreshment.

I have dry skin. Will tonic make it extra dry?

Tonic removes every bit of cleansing cream and calcium deposits from tap water. Moreover it closes the pores after cleansing. This is beneficial for dry skin too, but make sure your tonic doesn’t contain any alcohol.

Is it possible to scrub off my tan?

No, quite the contrary. If you scrub regularly, you will tan more evenly and your tan will stay much longer. A suntan won’t disappear from scrubbing, because it is caused by an increased release of a pigment called melanin inside your skin.

How can I avoid my foundation to ‘melt’ into my skin during the day?

If your foundation appears to be ‘melting away’, this means your skin was too dry and absorbed the foundation like a sponge. Next time, make sure your skin is well-hydrated by giving your day cream five minutes to soak in before applying foundation. Always finish with some powder and touch up in the course of the day if needed.

How long will my lipstick stay on?

A great piece of advice is to first powder your lips with some face powder. Your lipstick will last much longer on your lips. It’s also possible to pat dry and apply a second layer. If you really want to do it right, use a lip brush. You’ll need less lipstick and it will stay on forever.

Is it ok to use my lipstick as blush?

Sure! The only downside is that lipstick is harder in texture and therefore not as easy to apply as cream blushes. Go for soft tints like old rose or soft browns and avoid red lipstick. For easier application, try to blend the lipstick with a drop of your favorite face cream.

I believe a good moisturizer is all you really need to take good care of your skin. Day cream, night cream… What’s next, afternoon cream? Just kidding
