Throughout the centuries honey has been used by many legendary beauties – Cleopatra anyone? – as part of their daily skin, face and hair care routines. It’s suited for all skin types and is known to nourish and moisturize the skin.
Face
Facial mask
Blend one tablespoon of honey, one egg white, a teaspoon of glycerin and some flour until you get a thick paste. Apply it to your neck and face and leave on for about 10 minutes. Rinse with hot water. For dry skin we advise you to use pure honey.
Facial scrub
Put one tablespoon of honey in your hand and add a bit of almond meal and lemon juice. Mix the ingredients, put the paste on your face and rub it in with rotating movements.
Body
Body scrub
For a soft and smooth skin, simply add two tablespoons of honey to one tablespoon of powdered milk or sugar. Excellent to use in the shower!
Milk and honey bath
Add two cups (0.5 liters) of milk and three tablespoons of honey to your bath water. Enjoy!
Hair
Hair mask
For dull or dry hair mix half a cup of honey with four cups of water and half a cup of lemon juice. First wash your hair, then rinse and apply to your hair. Leave it on for about half an hour. For extra dry hair we suggest you to add olive oil instead of lemon juice.
