Uggs

The famous fleece-and-sheepskin boots worn by sheep shearers in rural Australia and celebrities like Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Kate Hudson. Like Crocs, they are said to be comfortable because the fleece keeps your feet warm and dry. As if we care. Even worse when paired with tucked-in jeans or a mini skirt.
Fanny packs

Sometimes I wonder whether fanny packs have ever been in style, but then I look at pictures of my mom in the eighties and have to face the facts. Fortunately, the eighties are gone and people have developed a more refined taste for fashion. That’s why today fanny packs are only associated with out-of-place tourists and dog walkers. You don’t want to be either.
Animal prints

Don’t get me wrong, animal prints can be perfectly fine and are often seen as fashionable. There’s nothing wrong with your leopard scarf or zebra dress, just don’t overdo it if you don’t want to be mistaken for a street walker. Stick to one single piece at a time, preferably a bag, scarf, belt or shoes.
Leather pants

Unless you’re in a country band or you’re a biker chick, there is no reason for you to wear anything close to leather pants. Why not go for skinny black pants if you want a more edgy and rock ‘n’ roll look?
Double Denim

This is a though one, because all-denim was actually a trend on the SS 2010 runway. Yet, it’s not for everyone and it certainly takes some styling skills to pull this off. By the way, do we really have to tell you to get rid of those old jean skirts?
Turtlenecks

Why someone would still wear turtlenecks goes beyond my comprehension. They are boring, unattractive and uncomfortable. A confident woman is not afraid to show her neck and décolletage.
Crocs

There is just no excuse for wearing them outside the house. In fact, there is no excuse for wearing them indoors neither. Crocs may be comfortable, durable and keep your feet cool, they also make you look like a retard. They were intended as a boat shoe and that’s how it should stay.
What are your biggest fashion mistakes? Got any confessions to make?

Haha that fanny pack picture just cracked me up. I must confess I sometimes wear turtlenecks in winter, as I’m quite sensitive to the cold but that’s about it. No crocs or uggs for me!
Crocs make you look like a retard <- never a truer word spoken.

I guess I commit all kinds of fashion faux pas then. I did buy some crocs for my son when he was two. They were the only shoes he could successfully put on by himself & I think it’s empowering for little ones to be able to help themselves. Otherwise, Crocs are unacceptable. I’ve always hated Uggs & they way they turn in at the bottom around the soles, & then they get all dirty where the suede rubs on the ground. Gross.
I disagree. I think more women should wear leather pants.
